IPMHA Health Coach Training

This six-month, part-time training prepares you to work as a Health Coach within Integrated Primary Mental Health and Addiction (IPMHA) services across Aotearoa. You will build strong behaviour change and coaching skills to support tāngata whaiora experiencing mental distress, addiction, and long-term conditions. Training is culturally responsive by design, embedding Te Ao Māori knowledge and Māori and Pasifika models of health alongside evidence-based coaching and lifestyle medicine. You will learn to use kai, movement, sleep, and connection as practical tools to support hauora. Learning is delivered through a flexible mix of self-paced online study, live workshops, coaching practice, mentoring, and in-clinic assessment. You will complete this training with the confidence, clarity, and competence to step into your new role.
